How does a senior move manager differ from a regular mover?

Unlike traditional movers who focus mainly on transporting items from one place to another, senior move managers provide comprehensive, personalized support throughout the moving process. This includes planning, organizing, downsizing, and addressing the emotional challenges associated with senior relocations. We ensure that the move is not only efficient but also sensitive to the needs of our senior clients.

Do you only work with seniors?

No, we’re also happy to work with anyone who feels they need help decluttering, organizing, or project managing their move. Feel free to reach out!

How are the costs for senior move management services determined?

Costs vary based on the scope and complexity of the move. Factors include the size of the home, the amount of downsizing needed, and the amount of work you are willing to do on your own.

What does the process look like?

We start with an initial assessment, where we do a home walkthrough, discuss the goals of the project, and what possible services you may be interested in. Then, we come up with a plan tailored just for you and your situation. We can do as much or as little as you need.

What might an example project look like?

  • A staged move out, including decluttering in preparation of sale, a round of furniture donations to make space, and occupied staging to prepare to list; Final item sorting to prepare to move, space planning for new residence, overseeing the day-of move, and helping unpack

  • Declutter and reorganize an office or other space to make room for an overnight home health aid

  • Decluttering and organizing the garage to allow for the car to be parked inside

  • Space planning, decluttering, and reconfiguring home to allow for a first floor primary bedroom

  • Estate clean out, organizing and preparing the house for the family to come review remaining possessions when they arrive for memorial service

  • Helping unpack and set up organization systems; Advise on and help set up smart home options and automation (Wifi/Home security/Alexa/Printers)

Yes, our services extend beyond just moving your belongings. We can assist with the setup of your new home, including arranging furniture, unpacking items, setting up electronics, and making sure everything is organized and comfortable for you.
